Winter sports or sun, the Top Destinations

February, unsurprisingly, is still a good time to go to ski resorts, whether in Europe or North America.

The Caribbean and many Asian countries offer very good sunshine conditions.

Destination Winter Sports

As in January, winter conditions are met for the practice of winter sports. It is not surprising to find the same destinations in this first part. Remember to check the snow conditions before making the trip.

Europe and North America offer many spots to practice sliding sports, whether skiing, snowboarding or sledding (among others):

Europe
- - France : Alpes en tête, mais aussi Pyrénées, Massif Central, Vosges, Jura
  - Suisse : les Alpes sont très présentes sur le territoire helvète (attention tout de même aux tarifs en CHF)
  - Austria: skiing in Tyrol often allows you to combine top-of-the-range accommodation and dream ski areas (without forgetting the après-ski with the sounds of Anton, among others)
  - But also: Germany, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Slovenia, Russia, Finland, Sweden, …
- North America
  - Canada: British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, …
  - United States: Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Montana, California, Alaska, …

It will also be possible to practice in Japan. And a little bonus if you choose a destination near or north of the Arctic Circle, you might be lucky enough to be able to observe the Northern Lights.

The winter sun, especially if you want to go seaside, requires you to travel a little distance… America (especially Central) and the Caribbean are at the top. Many Asian destinations also allow you to have fun. Africa and the Middle East are also doing well.

Americas

In general, the period is favorable in Central America, but more particularly:

- Tasmania

In Africa, it’s time to visit the Cape region (South Africa), but also Burkina Faso, Namibia, Kenya,… It is also an excellent time to visit the United Arab Emirates (Dubai, Abu Dhabi) and Oman.
